A Little Taste of Heaven Spring Recipe

As we all embark on this new way of life and practice social distancing, we've teamed up with one of our favorite local bakeries, A Little Taste of Heaven, to get you some delicious treats to try while at home.

Last week, A Little Taste of Heaven announced the launch of its gourmet ready to bake cookie dough. The cookie dough was launched at the request of several customers who simply wanted more than just the baked cookies.These ready to bake cookies are made with love and wholesome ingredients. The cookie dough is available in four flavors: Oatmeal Lace, Bourbon Pecan Chocolate, Oatmeal Special, and Classic Chocolate Chip. “I am delighted to finally bring my customers my gourmet ready to bake cookie dough. Not only does it cut down on production time but it’s the simple joy of having them taste a warm gourmet cookie in their home", stated owner and baker Mona Sanders. Finally, cookie lovers can enjoy eating these gourmet ready to bake cookies in the comfort of their home at any time.

Gourmet Sour Cream Pound Cake

Prep Time: 12 mins

Cook Time :1 hour and 20 min

Total Time: 1 hour and

Servings 16 to 20

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of soften butter

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon extract (or your favorite extract flavoring)

  • 6 eggs

  • 3 cups cake flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions

Heat oven to 325 F. Butter and flour your favorite 10- inch Bundt Pan ( Nordic Ware recommended).

In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon extract; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well

after each addition. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients of flour and baking soda. Add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream,

beating well after each addition. Pout batter into greased pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until toothpick interested into center comes out clean.

Cool in pan on a wire rack 15 minutes. Remove cake from pan and cool completely on wire rack.

Serve with fresh berries of choice.

*add your favorite flavor extracts to enhance the taste
